This method decreases your BNB gas fees by 80%

Although the gas fees on the BNB chain aren’t nearly as excessive as those on Ethereum, they can still add up if you are an investor in multiple DeFi projects and actively claim or compound rewards.

I found out that you can decrease your gas fees by as much as 80% by using the method that I’m about to share with you.

Setup an alternative RPC

When you interact with a blockchain, this is done through an RPC. RPCs make it possible to connect with a server and communicate with the blockchain. The default RPC for BNB Chain is provided by Binance. This RPC doesn’t allow us to lower our gas fees, so instead we will connect with the RPC provided by Pocket.

You can add the Pocket RPC in MetaMask with these simple steps:

1) Click the round account icon

2) Select Settings

3) Select Networks
